Karanvir Bohra and Siddharth Tewary go beach cleaning

“The amount of garbage thrown up is shocking and a wake up call for all of us to say no to plastic” says KVB

KVB who recently visited Umbergaon for the shoot of his new show Hum Rahein Na Rahein Hum was disheartened to see the condition of the beach. The actor shared a video on his Instagram @karanvirbohra showing the unwanted plastic bottles, waste materials and litter on the beach.

What’s the point of flaunting our city for having the best coast if we can’t keep it clean” says Karanvir, while he further adds “Plastic, rubbish, and more such harmful things are often disposed of affecting the cleanliness and overall health of the ocean and marine life. I wanted to do my very small effort by joining this amazing cause of beach clean up to contribute a small effort that can go a long way”.

She is a professor in vocal music in university of Rajasthan. Her unwavering support and mentorship have been instrumental in shaping my journey. However, it is her profound impact on my musical endeavours that truly stands out. She introduced me to music, nurturing my passion and talents and serving as my dedicated teacher. With immense admiration, I look back on the countless hours she spent teaching me in various forms of music , it’s theory and aesthetics, and music appreciation , because of her I started composing and singing and she bought me various musical instruments and prepared me for several music competitions where I won and also agreed to sing my compositions that got released by times music. Her patience, expertise, and love for music created a nurturing environment where I could develop my skills and explore the depths of musical expression. I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have had her as my teacher, guiding me through the intricacies of melodies and rhythms. But her role as my Guru extends far beyond music. She has been my pillar of strength, providing unwavering guidance and mentorship in all aspects of life. Her wisdom, love, and dedication have shaped my character and taught me invaluable life lessons. On Guru Purnima, I express my deepest gratitude and appreciation to my beloved mother. He has been my guiding light, helping me become the best version of myself, and even today, I seek his advice whenever in doubt. Working with him was an unparalleled learning experience. Embrace a sustainable lifestyle by using eco-friendly substitutes

Embrace a sustainable lifestyle by using eco-friendly substitutes

International Plastic Bag Free Day, held on July 3 each year, aims to increase awareness about the negative effects of plastic on the environment. This day inspires individuals to swap out disposable plastic bags for sustainable options, contributing to a worldwide movement to eliminate their use. Actors talk about eco-friendly alternatives they use to live a plastic-free lifestyle which contributes to a sustainable environment. These include &TV artists such as  Manisha Arora (Mahua, Doosri Maa), Gazal Sood (Kate Singh, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan), and Shubhangi Atre (Angoori Bhabi, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai)Manisha Arora, aka Mahua from Doosri Maa, comments, “Recognizing the harm caused by single-use plastic, I have consciously abandoned its use. As suitable alternatives to plastics. I prioritize recycling everything I use, not just plastic, fostering a shift towards reusable options, which I see as a personal responsibility. Back home, we have replaced plastic bags with homemade cloth or nylon bags made from recycled materials. My talented mother repurposes items, demonstrating her skill in turning waste into something useful. When grocery shopping, I always carry my nylon bag, a thoughtful gift from her. Stylish synthetic polymer bags compacted for easy storage are also available. Seeking alternatives is vital in today's world. Sincere dedication to modifying our daily habits enables harmonious coexistence in this wonderful, yet limited world.”

Gazal Sood, aka Kate Singh from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, adds, “Using biodegradable alternatives can have a significant positive impact on our planet. Easily accessible substitutes such as coconut leaves, paper, bamboo, cotton, and jute are not only environmentally friendly but also safe for our health. In my household, we opt for jute bags, which possess qualities like strength, affordability, durability, biodegradability, and compostability. Additionally, I enjoy creating tote bags from my collection of old jeans and repurposing them in creative ways to avoid plastic usage.  I also prefer bamboo bags as a perfect everyday solution. They are both robust and lightweight, capable of carrying heavy loads without breaking or losing shape. These bags are easy to clean, naturally possess anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties, and allow me to make a style statement. I firmly believe that reducing, rejecting, and reusing plastic products can contribute to a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable planet.” Shubhangi Atre, aka Angoori Bhabi from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “To protect the environment, it's crucial for all of us to take collective action in reducing single-use plastics. Unfortunately, much of the plastic we dispose of either gets recycled or burned in waste-to-energy facilities. However, a significant portion of it ends up in landfills, where it can take up to 1,000 years to break down, releasing potentially harmful substances into the soil and water. Fortunately, we can easily avoid this harm by replacing plastic with eco-friendly alternatives. There are plenty of creative options available, such as cloth, jute, or paper bags. Additionally, affordable biodegradable carry bags are also a great choice. I enjoy crafting, and during my leisure time, I make these small carry bags using old cloth and add embroidery designs to them. Cotton is an excellent material for reusable shopping bags because it's durable and soft. It's one of the many reusable bag types that can be washed. If any accidents or spills happen during grocery shopping, I believe this is an effective way to recycle and reuse waste. On International Plastic Bag Free Day, let's each contribute and become more environmentally responsible citizens by doing our part to reduce plastic usage. Together, we can make a positive impact on our planet.”

This International Plastic Bag Free Day choose reusable alternatives to make a lasting difference for a plastic-free future!

Balveer fame Khushi Bharadwaj from Tiku weds Sheru talks about sharing the screen with Nawazuddin Siddique was a dream come true

Balveer fame Khushi Bharadwaj from Tiku weds Sheru talks about sharing the screen with Nawazuddin Siddique was a dream come true

Actress Khushi Bharadwaj has come a long way as an actress. Recently her film Tiku weds Sheru got release in OTT. Getting some overwhelming responses from her fans Khushi shares her experience shooting with Bollywood diva Kangana Ranaut, Nawazuddin Siddique and Avneet Kaur.

How did you bag the role of Sana?

I remember I gave an audition for the role and was hoping to get the call.  I waited for a while and one day I was just woken up and got a call from the casting that I have been selected for the role that time I didn’t even know that I will be sharing the screens with big actors like Nawazuddin Siddique sir and Avneet Kaur. A big thanks to (Queen of Bollywood) Kangana Ranaut mam for this opportunity its like a dream come true for me.

How was your experience shooting with Kangana Ranaut and Nawazuddin Siddique?

The experience was great, I learned a lot from Kangana mam and Nawaz sir. They both are extremely professional and fun loving at the same time. Yes, I was quite nervous on my first day shoot but Nawaz sir made me feel so comfortable and guided me on how to do my scene best. Also, Kangana mam is one of the most hard-working women I ever met and a boss lady, she was there with me throughout and directed each scene. Tiku weds Sheru was a great learning experience for me.

The best thing you like about your character Sana.

Her innocence is something I admire a lot, Khushi and Sana are very similar they are supportive and always stood beside her loved one. In the film it is very interesting to watch the sisterly bond of Sana and Tiku (Avneet Kaur) and ups and downs they face in the city of Mumbai.

What you like the most TV or OTT?

I’ll be always thankful to my previous show Balveer. The show has given me name, fame and fans. It’s literally where my journey of an actor began and made the most beautiful memories of my life and got some amazing friends. My OTT debut in Tiku weds Sheru was wonderful and exciting and I never thought that I will get an amazing response from the audience.  Work wise TV becomes little hectic but there is a consistency and in OTT everything depends on the content and the role, so as of now both works for me.

You have had a long wait for this film. How is the feeling now?

The feeling is great, and I was amazed by the overwhelming response from my fans, there has been constant Dms and Instagram messages since the release. The film has been on buzz from the start and each character in the film is extremely important and interesting making the film a complete package of entertainment. Thanks to all the audience for their immense support and response.

But trying to outshine Aasif Ji (aka Vibhuti Narayan Mishra) in the humour department is like trying to catch a slippery fish with your bare hands—impossible! He is the reigning "King of Comedy" on Indian television! Every week, he dives headfirst into these bizarre, hilarious characters that are mind-bogglingly difficult and extraordinarily funny. It is like he was born with a laughter-inducing superpower. He is a true artist and comedian extraordinaire with his hilarious voiceovers, outrageous get-ups, witty dialogues, and priceless expressions.
