2nd Technology Conference for Growth of Plastic Industry Import Substitution of Plastic Goods by AIPMA's AMTEC At The Lalit Hotel , Mumbai

2nd Technology Conference for Growth of Plastic Industry was organized on 7" July, 2023 at The Hotel Lalit, Mumbai. This conference was attended by more than 450+ plastics industries including senior government officials, visionaries of the industry, researchers and entrepreneurs. The event was honored by Hon'ble Minister of Commerce and Industry, Shri. Piyush Goyal, as a Chief Guest. The event was a great success with his presence by his vision and motivation about the theme of Plastic Import substitution. 

As per the mandate of Hon'ble Prime Minister, to reduce import dependence and become Atmnirbhar, The All India Plastics Manufacturers’ Association (AIPMA) has conducted a detailed study on import of Plastic goods in the country As per the study, plastic goods worth Rs. 37,500 crores were imported in 2021-22. After detailed analysis, AIPMA has selected 553 plastic products for import substitution. It is estimated that import substitution of plastic goods worth Rs. 37,500 crores would create additional requirement of around 4 Million Tons of Raw material per annum and 16,000+ plastics processing

machines including Tools, Moulds, Jigs and Fixtures. It would also create 5 lakh additional jobs in the country.

This conference is supported by Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India, Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Government of India, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. Main objective of these conferences are to help the industry in import substitution thereby helping them to manufacture "Make in India - Make for the World' plastic products.

As a part of inaugural ceremony, Hon'ble dignitaries inaugurated "Display of imported plastics products booths.

Chief Guest of the conference, Shri. Piyush Goyal ji enlightened the role of the government in the innovation, and economic growth. He stated that import replacement is not a simple task but a complex process that requires collaboration among various stakeholders, including industries, businesses, consumers, and policymakers. He complimented AIPMA's AMTEC for listing out 553 imported plastic goods and for organising this conference. Representatives from the industry requested ministry to arrange interactions and B2B meetings between major importers of plastics goods in India and plastic goods manufacturers. Also suggested future interventions could be taken by the Government for Quality standards (BIS) on plastic finished goods, Import duty increase on plastic finished goods, FTA negotiations (import of plastic goods on concessional duty could be avoided), PLI for domestics manufacturing of products that are being imported in large quantity

Mr. Mayur D Shah, President, AIPMA welcomed dignitaries, speakers and attendees and highlighted various activities undertaken by AIPMA for ensuring growth of plastic industry in India. He said that, Initiatives like 'Atmnirbhar Bharat' and Vocal for Local' have encouraged the industry. The government and the industry is working together to further encourage growth and create a sustainable environment for the Indian plastics industry to become the global sourcing hub. Mr. Arvind Mehta, Chairman, Governing Council, AIPMA and Chairman, AIPMA's AMTEC, Past President of AIPMA and PlastIndia Foundation expressed AIPMA's vision and the objective of an initiative 'Arvind Mehta Technology & Entrepreneurship Centre' (AMTEC). He emphasized the importance of the industry's self-reliance, the exchange of the latest technologies and the requirement of training, skilling in manufacturing area so that the accelerated development of import substitution plastic products could be promoted.

During the conference, sessions were divided into various interesting topics like Innovations in Raw material & Supply Chain requirement for Import Substitution, Requirement of Innovative Plastic processing Technologies for Import Substitution, Requirement of Tooling, Dies & Jigs Fixtures for Import Substitution, Roadmap to become Atmanirbhar in Plastic Goods (Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Innovation). Initiative taken by AIPMA was highly appreciated by the Government and the industry.

Mr. Manish Dedhia, AIPMA's Sr. Vice President, concluded the conference with vote of thanks to all dignitaries, speakers and attendees.

The upcoming conferences on Import Substitution will take place in Ahmedabad (28th July 2023), Bangalore (10th August 2023), Chennai (18th August 2023) and Kolkata (31st August 2023) respectively till the month of August.

Following Gadar:Ek Prem Katha’s lead, Zee Studios revived the most loved romantic ballad Udd Jaa Kaale Kaava from their upcoming film, Gadar 2. The song started trending in no time and became an ultimate hit once again amongst the masses.To celebrate the success of Udd Jaa Kaale Kaava veteran singer Udit Narayan, Mithoon and director Anil Sharma attended a press conference and interacted with their media friends, describing how the album of Gadar holds a special place in their heart and how they are thankful for the love the song is receiving once again. 

Udd Jaa Kaale has been trending since many days and has received more than 55 thousand comments and over 50 million plus views, across various social media platforms. At the event Udit Narayan, Mithoon and director Anil Sharma also gave a hint of the next song, Dil Jhoom from Gadar 2. 

Helmed by Director-Producer Anil Sharma, and produced by Zee Studios, the movie stars Superstar Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in lead roles.

The movie is scheduled to release in cinemas on 11th August 2023.

शेमारू उमंग पर इस 10 जुलाई से देखिए गहना के निस्वार्थ प्यार और संघर्ष की कहानी 'गौना एक प्रथा'!

गौना भारत के कुछ राज्यों में प्रचलित विवाह से जुड़ा एक रिवाज है। इसके तहत शादी के बाद भी कुछ वर्षों तक दुल्हन अपने मायके में रहती है और जब वो थोड़ी सयानी हो जाती है तब उसे पूरे गाजेबाजे और बारात जैसे समारोह के साथ उसके ससुराल विदा किया जाता है। इसपर प्रकाश डालते हुए शेमारू उमंग ने दर्शकों के मनोरंजन के स्तर को एक पायदान ऊपर ले जाते हुए गौना एक प्रथा' नामक शो प्रस्तुत किया है जो इस 10 जुलाई से दर्शकों की टीवी स्क्रीन पर प्रस्तुत होगा। जहाँ, गौना की प्रथा से जुड़ी गहना की कहानी और उसके त्याग को दर्शकों के समक्ष पेश किया गया है। दिलों को छू लेने वाला यह फॅमिली ड्रामा शो गहना (कृतिका देसाई द्वारा अभिनीत किरदार), गौरव (रोहित पुरोहित द्वारा अभिनीत किरदार) के इर्द-गिर्द घूमती है जहाँ गहना शादी के बाद होने वाली गौना की प्रथा को पूरा करने को लेकर प्रतिबद्ध है, जिसे देखना दर्शकों के लिए रोचक होगा।

'गौना एक प्रथा की मुख्य अभिनेत्री कृतिका देसाई ने अपने किरदार के प्रति अपना उत्साह व्यक्त करते हुए कहा, "मैं बहुत खुश हूँ कि मुझे गहना का किरदार निभाने का मौका मिला जो बहुत दृढ़ और ताकतवर है। यह एक ऐसा किरदार है जो प्रेम, त्याग और लचीलेपन की जटिलताओं को उजागर करता है। मैं गहना की जीवन यात्रा को पर्दे पर लाने के लिए रोमांचित हूं और मुझे विश्वास है कि दर्शक उसके जीवन में आने वाले संघर्ष और उनकी भावनाओं से जुड़ेंगे। गहना के जीवन को गहराई से समझना मेरे लिए सौभाग्य की बात है और मुझे यह अवसर देने के लिए में शेमारू उमंग टीम की आभारी हूँ।"
