&TV | Lights, camera, resolutions: Celebs share New Year resolutions! - December 2023
Naya saal, naye sangharsh!
New Year will bring with it the biggest dose of entertainment on &TV. Here we reveal the intriguing details of what awaits viewers in &TV's 'Atal', 'Happu Ki Ultan', and 'Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain'. These popular shows promise exciting new developments and surprises for fans to look forward to. About &TV’s Atal track, Krishna Devi Vajpayee shares, “Krishan Bihari Vajpayee (Ashutosh Kulkarni) and Krishna Devi Vajpayee (Neha Joshi) inspire Atal (Vyom Thakkar) to embrace Sanskriti fully and stay away from mixing different ideologies. On his way to school with his father, Atal encounters a group of Krantikaris protesting the British Government again. This time, instead of reacting, Atal decides to strike a balance, saying, ‘Santulan se kaam lunga’. Krishan Bihari is happy to see this transformation in Atal. However, upon reaching school, Krishan Bihari discovers that Atal has been transferred from English to Hindi medium class by Stephen (Raymond) without any prior notice. While Krishan Bihari is upset by this unexpected change, Atal sees it as a challenge to excel as a diligent student even in the Hindi medium. Later, upon returning home, father informs the family about Atal's sudden transfer. Despite Krishna Devi's efforts to calm Krishan Bihari, he remains upset.”
About &TV’s Happu Ki Ultan Paltan track, Daroga Happu Singh shares, “Children request Happu Singh (Yogesh Tripathi) to attend a New Year's party. He tactfully diverts their enthusiasm towards a home celebration, and everyone agrees. Preparations for the celebration at home begin, but a twist arises when Beni (Vishwanath Chatterjee) shows Happu passes to a New Year's party featuring a Russian dancer. Excited, Happu and Beni attend the event, leaving the family upset. The following day, photographs from the party surface in the newspaper, much to Happu and Beni's dismay. Their attempts to conceal the news from the family are thwarted by Gabbar (Saheb Das Manikpuri), who shows the news to Rajesh (Geetanjali Mishra) and Katori Amma (Himani Shivpuri). Katori Amma punishes Happu by decreeing that he cannot refuse anyone's request for the next two weeks. Everyone takes advantage of this opportunity and bombards Happu with their demands. Hritik (Aryan Prajapati), Chamchi (Zaara Warsi), and Ranbir (Somya Azad) seek Happu's intervention with their Master (played by Vijay Kumar Singh), who threatened to fail them in exams. Meanwhile, a rift emerges between Katori Amma and Rajesh, culminating in Rajesh demanding that Amma be sent to her brother's house, while Amma insists that Rajesh be sent to her parental home (mayka).” About &TV’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain track, Manmohan Tiwari shares, “During a jog, Tiwari (Rohitashv Gour) and Anita (Vidisha Srivastava) are too engrossed in their phones to notice their surroundings. Tiwari gets distracted and falls into a gutter, but Anita remains unaware, still absorbed in her phone. Meanwhile, Vibhuti (Aasif Sheikh) downloads an app and clicks photos of Angoori (Shubhangi Atre). At the tea stall, Tika (Vaibhav Mathur), Tillu (Salim Zaidi), and others sit together but communicate only through a group chat. Later, at the New Year party in Modern Colony, everyone remains absorbed in their phones, even amidst the celebrations. This annoys Saxena (Saanand Verma) and he scolds them. Realising their mistake, everyone sets their phones aside. Saxena urges them to pledge to refrain from using their phones for the upcoming days and takes their devices. The absence of a phone causes chaos when Anita misses a meeting notification, resulting in a loss of five lakhs. Similarly, without communication, people become frustrated and even assault the Doctor (Jeetu Gupta) when he attempts home visits to check on patients.”
