Spooky on-location shoot of the film “Motel”, Saasha Shyam Ramsay brings the cult of horror this Halloween, In the shooting of her film. Silver Screen Studio presents Motel directed by Saasha Shyam Ramsay, produced by Seema Shrivastava starring Zuber K Khan, Garima Singh Rathore, Maninee De, and Sharad Kumar
As a director who is full of ideas, Saasha recreates her father Shyam Ramsay's legacy by treating Ramsay fans with a horror film, a concept of a classic old-school horror film lost in the modern interpretation of the same genre. The Director of the film “Motel” promises that the upcoming horror film is a true blue Ramsay horror with a touch of her sensibilities of filmmaking. She further adds that the film does not have the usual ugly, melting face or weird camera angles to scare the audience out of their wits "This film is about everything I've learned from my father, Mr. Shyam Ramsay who is the torchbearer of this genre. I am genuinely trying to recreate the magic my father created and want to treat the Ramsay fans recreating the era and humbly await the acceptance of the new-age audiences” says Saasha
“We want to present Ramsay horror flick to people. It is not tacky, we don’t want to make a film and be apologetic about it, either as audience or as a maker” says the producer Seema Shrivastava
Lead actor Sharad Kumar feels that the horror genre is very popular in India and filmmakers and actors especially A-listers should be part of more such films “Horror is not just about ghosts, it is primarily about the emotion of fear. Usually A-listers shy away from the genre and I don’t understand why”.
The on-location was witnessed by the entire cast with the shot of Lead actress Garima and Shankar Srivastav lost in the wilderness and accidentally falls upon the blood-stained amputated arm lying on the road, she quips “Seems like a Ramsay film being shot to Sharad Shrivastav and they walk by.
The set was interwoven with Halloween props and added to the eerie location, the full moon, and the Ramsay backdrop … perfect for the “Motel “.
