Fostering daily well-being with Yoga

                   Fostering daily well-being with Yoga

For ages, Indian sages have recognized yoga as an excellent means of uniting the body and mind. Each year, on June 21st, we commemorate International Yoga Day to emphasize its immense value and serenity for the human body. On this occasion of Yoga Day&TV artists share the significance of yoga in their lives. They highlight how yoga has positively influenced their well-being, creativity, and overall journey. These include Neha Joshi (Yashoda, Doosri Maa), Himani Shivpuri (Katori Amma, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan), and Vidisha Srivastava (Anita Bhabi, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai)Neha Joshi, aka Yashoda from Doosri Maa, shares, “For approximately two years, I have been practicing yoga, and it has been a transformative journey. Yoga has been vital in keeping me focused and maintaining my overall health. Each morning, after performing yoga, I feel a surge of energy and vitality. While I continue to learn and strive for improvement in various yoga flows and asanas, Surya Namaskar holds a special place in my heart. This particular yoga asana has a calming effect on both the mind and body, effectively reducing tension and anxiety. It fulfills my long-standing desire for physical and mental strength, enhancing my overall body posture by strengthening the back muscles. On this Yoga Day, I wholeheartedly encourage everyone to embrace yoga, as it brings about emotional, physical, and mental well-being.”

Himani Shivpuri
, aka Katori Amma from Happu ki Ultan Paltan, shares, “In the midst of my busy and demanding life, yoga serves as a sanctuary. The detrimental effects of a sedentary lifestyle, erratic sleep patterns, and unhealthy eating habits can take a toll on both physical and mental well-being. Thus, my daily commitment to practicing yoga is a guiding force, helping me maintain balance and enhance my overall fitness. As a dedicated practitioner, I firmly believe that yoga and pranayama are time-honored practices that have stood the test of time. They provide me with invaluable tools to achieve my goals. Yoga has become an essential pillar, supporting me through life's challenges, enabling me to navigate them gracefully, and fostering a sense of optimism and focus. It has become a therapeutic modality, nurturing my holistic well-being.” Vidisha Srivastava, aka Anita Bhabi from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “In an era of social, environmental, and financial turmoil, our lives are being rocked by unprecedented challenges. Amid these doomsday circumstances, yoga has become my "secret key" to attaining holistic well-being. During the darkest phase of my life, when my focus was waning, yoga emerged as a guiding light, restoring my mind, spirit, and body to tranquillity, rejuvenation, and equilibrium. Not only has yoga helped me regain my focus, but it has also enhanced my acting skills. When I return to my homeland of Varanasi, I find solace in practicing pranayama and laughter yoga alongside the serene ghats of the Ganges, accompanied by my beloved parents. These practices enable me to release the burdens of everyday stress and rejuvenate my soul. With utmost conviction, I wholeheartedly recommend yoga to everyone as a transformative force capable of altering their lives for the better.”
