Actors remember the men who moulded their journeys!
International Men’s Day serves as a reminder to appreciate and acknowledge
the vital roles that men play in our lives. Actors from &TV are using this
occasion to honour the remarkable men in their lives—those who have stood
by them, shaped their journeys, and provided unwavering support. Among
them are Neha Joshi (Krishna Devi Vajpayee from Atal), Smita Sable
(Dhaniya from Bheema), Geetanjali Mishra (Rajesh from Happu Ki Ultan
Paltan), and Shubhangi Atre (Angoori Bhabhi from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai).
Neha Joshi, known for portraying Krishna Devi Vajpayee in Atal, shares, “On
this International Men’s Day, I want to celebrate the incredible man in my
life—my husband, Omkar. He has been my rock, my confidant, and my
greatest support, standing by me through both the joys and challenges life
brings. His unwavering belief in me and constant encouragement have been
the driving force behind my strength and success. Amid the chaos of our
lives, he has remained my calm and anchor—always ready to listen, help,
and offer comforting words. He has taught me the true meaning of
partnership, showing that love and support can empower us to become our
best selves. His presence fills our life with laughter, stability, and warmth.
Today, I honor not only my husband but also all the men who quietly
dedicate themselves to their families, often without recognition. They remind
us that true strength lies not in grand gestures but in everyday acts of love
and kindness.” Smita Sable, who plays Dhaniya in Bheema, reflects, “I am
filled with gratitude as I think of the most incredible man in my life—my
father. He has always been my unwavering support, my mentor, and my
greatest strength. Even now, as I live with him and care for him, I see how he
continues to guide and inspire me every day. Growing up, he instilled in me
the values of resilience, kindness, and self-belief. His quiet strength and
unconditional love have shaped who I am and taught me what true support
looks like. Now, as our roles have shifted, I am honored to be there for him,
just as he has always been there for me. Every moment we share is a
reminder of the bond we’ve built—a bond rooted in love, respect, and deep
understanding. On this special day, I want to celebrate my father and all the
men who serve as pillars of support for their families.”
Himani Shivpuri, known for playing Katori Amma in Happu Ki Ultan Paltan,
shares, “I find myself reflecting on my journey with my incredible son,
Katyayan, who has been my rock, my strength, and my source of hope,
especially after my husband’s passing. Losing a partner is heartbreaking, but
my son stepped up in ways words can hardly express. He filled our home with
light during the darkest times and became the pillar our family could lean
on. In those difficult days, he showed a depth of love, maturity, and
resilience that reminded me of his father’s spirit. He took on responsibilities
without hesitation, offering not only his support but also a sense of peace
and stability that helped me find my footing again. His kindness and patience
have soothed my soul, and his ability to share in both my sorrow and my
memories brings comfort every day. Today, I honor him and all the men who
stand by their families with quiet strength and compassion. Sons like mine
remind us of the power of love and the resilience of the human spirit.”
Shubhangi Atre, who plays Angoori Bhabhi in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, reflects,
“My father has been my rock, my guiding star, and the one who taught me
resilience, compassion, and strength. Today, he is bravely fighting one of the
most challenging battles of his life, as he faces cancer. Watching him endure
this journey has been a profound lesson in courage and grace. Despite the
toll it has taken on him physically and emotionally, his spirit remains
unbroken. His unwavering positivity, even on the hardest days, continues to
inspire me. Through his strength, he teaches me what it truly means to live
with dignity and resilience. This International Men’s Day, I want to celebrate
my father and all the fathers, brothers, and sons who face life’s adversities
with courage and strength. My father is not only my hero but also my
reminder of what it means to live a life of purpose and kindness.”
