TV actors unlock their tiffin box!
Eating healthy and nutritious food can provide a valuable boost to your wellbeing and success. Here's a look inside the dabbas of your favourite &TV artists
Himani Shivpuri, aka Katori Amma from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, shares, “Lunchtime on our sets is special because we sit together and converse while eating. I am a ‘Dabba’ person who never forgets to bring a lunch box whenever shooting. I carry a juice bottle and some dry fruits packed. I like to munch on as and when I feel hungry between the scenes. For lunch, I carry homemade food consisting of a small portion of rice because it is an excellent source of carbs. To add nutritious value to my diet, I consume boiled dal with lots of veggies, one seasonal sabzi without potatoes, and two fruits. My lunch box is both nutritious and delicious.” Aasif Sheikh, aka Vibhuti Narayan Mishra from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “Everyone knows I am extremely health-conscious and follow my fitness regime religiously. I avoid eating outside food and bring my carry homemade lunch and snacks. A simple Ghar ka Khana with less oil and no sugar is what you can find in my tiffin box. What I love the most is sharing my dabba with my colleagues on sets, and we love to eat together. The most significant thing in my diet is a vegetable or fruit salad. I love eating non-vegetarian food, so chicken, mutton, fish curry with some dal or a sabzi with some phulkas are part of my lunch box. Post-lunch, I eat seasonal fruits. I try to balance my meals with equal amounts of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. Everyone on set loves biryani and kebabs from my house, so there are days I carry dabbas full of these delicacies."
