It is directed by renowned filmmaker Aditya Sarpotdar, who known for his exceptional contribution to youth-centric films in the Marathi cinema. 

Unaad revolves around the lives of three fun-loving young boys hailing from a modest fishing community. Bandya, the film's protagonist, makes an innocent mistake that turns his friendship with the city bred, Swara, into a complicated tale of love and misunderstanding. In a desperate bid to escape the clutches of danger, Bandya seeks refuge in a local fishing boat that sets sail from the shore. Inadvertently, he embarks on an unexpected journey of self-discovery. The forced labor on the boat and the serene vastness of the water become the backdrop for Bandya's transformative experience. Upon his return to the shore, Bandya undergoes a remarkable evolution, shedding his carefree attitude and gaining a deeper understanding of life and the people around him. Produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Presented by Jio Studios, produced by Ajit Arora, Chandresh Bhanushali, Pritesh Thakkar, Unaad beautifully captures the young boy's journey of self-discovery and finding a meaningful purpose in life.
